Sunday afternoon turned out to be a gorgeous day to shoot and i had been so excited to shoot Kanoon’s Pregncy portraits. Kannon is adorable and was the perfect model, i cant wait to meet their Little One Tydus who should be here in only one month.
Her husband Ben was such a great subject as well. He looked so connected to Kanoon which really gave the pictures an emotional feel to them.

I really loved this description and picked Maura as the winner because the men on the bench were really just Loafing in their Loafers! This image was taken in Lisbon, Portugal last year when i was there shooting a destination wedding. This is one of my favorite images from my trip. I shot it from my waist because i didnt want the men on the bench to get angry so i really wasnt sure exactly what i was gonna get in the frame. As i was shooting this a man walked into the shot and ended up totally making my picture a million times better. I love it when that happens…i call this a “Happy Accident”.
Anywhoey..enough about me lets hear about the totally awesome girl who just won a GO|BEE Hip Clutch!
First of all Maura has a really cool name and a really cool website and she takes really amazing pictures! This is from one of her recent senior portraits..stunning right???
And then i just had to know why maura wanted a GO|BEE Bag so bad that she would participate in my silly contest….and she said….
“Why do I want a GO|BEE bag? Easy! I am not a fanny pack kind of gal. When I’m shooting weddings, I often find myself having to strap on a shoulder bag or back pack just to keep track of my incidentals (especially those CF cards!) I also do a lot of work photographing people with special needs. The less encumbered I am with gear, the more at ease my clients become. The GO|BEE Hip Clutch will be a perfect tool for all of my sessions and weddings!”
What a perfect answer! I am so happy she won!!
And a little tid bit about Maura you might not have know….

I was so surprised this morning to see my picture in my incoming mailbox from Greer’s OC Daily Dose today!
I recently had Leslie Christen style my photoshoot for my new blog. Leslie is an amazing stylist and blew me away when she arrived at my door with a rack of gorgeous clothing for me to wear throughout the shot. From brand new Cynthia Vincent Dresses to Vintage pieces like the one I am wearing in this photo above paired with vintage Channel jewelery and Michael Kors heels. It was like being JLO for a day!
But seriously, I would highly recommend having a stylist on any photoshoot, they are a dream come true! And if you live in Orange County and you are not a subscriber to Greer’s OC, become one now! She posts the latest about this awesome county of ours regarding new restaurants, local concerts, crazy awesome small businesses, secret sales and the hottest parties.
Erick Macek is a talented musician and was recently nominated “Best Singer Songwriter of the Year” at the 2009 Los Angeles Music Awards. At the same music awards in 2007, he won “Best Male Vocalist of the Year.” His style of music can be compared to names like Jack Johnson and John Mayer.
We have been photographing Erick for 4 years now and shot his latest album cover, which can be found here. We will also be photographing him performing live on March 26th with the Gin Blossoms at the BriXton in Redondo Beach.
This featured shoot was done in downtown Santa Ana.
As a proper launch to my new blog I thought it would be fun to start off with a little contest! I will be doing these randomly throughout the blog, but for our first contest we are giving away a GO|BEE Hip Clutch or Card Holster to the lucky winner.
